So I've decided that the first two high concept shoots that will be taking place in 2012 are 1700s Versailles and "Horror Block Party". Each will have a bit of a surreal zing to it, even modern in some aspects as well.
The 1700s Versailles shoot will probably be the longest in terms of hours as we’ll be recreating the hair and makeup, as well as the wardrobe. It will be very heavy on the French Royal glamour of the royal families and royal court that lived there.
The Horror Block Party is a satiristic viewpoint of classic horror characters in film and stories and portraying them as respectable members of society. So I thought that the idea of a yuppie block party was more than fitting. This will hopefully be shot on an actual court or dead end street in a neighborhood for a sense of authenticity.
These images require a full "cast" of people, starting with as little as 5 to ten models, possibly more, this is why I’ve decided to do a price package special for them. The “wardrobe set up” be at least 4 - 8 hours depending on everyone's wardrobe and MUAH.
There will be smaller groups of people shooting in groups of 3 - 4 models while the others are getting MUAH done. After a few hours when everyone is finished and the first groups have had their touch ups, we will do full cast shots of everyone doing different poses and/or activities simultaneously.
Also! Don't be afraid to buy Halloween costumes for these shoots! We can make it work, just some extra fabric and petticoats, wigs, etc. You don't need to spend a fortune
So the group shoot special is: $30 person plus a $20 dollar fee for MUAH. I will have SOME wardrobe and wigs that will be free for you to use but I highly recommend that you bring things you know will fit/work just to be safe and prepared.
The business details:
All of the MUAH artists that will be working on this project are not really “hired”, a lot of them are personal friends, so that is why the MUAH fee is separate and encouraged to be brought with you in cash for them on location. MUAH artists need gas money, too
I will send everyone a raw gallery link to all of the shots and will be picking 10 - 12 to edit and make landscape posters. The posters will be $15 dollars each should you want to have one, and $18 to have it framed and titled.
If there’s a shot you like personally and it is not one of the ones I’ve chosen to edit, I will edit and get the poster to you via USPS (or drop off if you are local) for $18.
If you want prints instead of posters, they are only $10.
What’s in store for 2013??

**For those who didn't know, I am both a model as well as a photographer, I hadn't intended to model for these casting calls, but actually shoot them/do the styling**
